97' Camry P0773
Swapped out the existing 2.2L 4 cyl for one out of a 2000' car; now the CEL is on, returning a P0773 (auto transmission SL solenoid electrical fault) code. I know how to troubleshoot it, and there seems to be a ton of postings for this code on the forums, but very few (amost none) that actually report WHAT FIXED IT? Please provide your experience...bad solenoid, bad harness, dirty connector, bad ECM, or other?

Are you sure that your ground connection is 'good'? .... no oil, grease, tight.

There is a summary of the P0773 code inspection/repair on p. DI-419 to 422 of the Diagnostic Section in the factory service manual. Looks fairly straight forward ...
