3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hello, everyone.
I have a 1998 Toyota Camry V6 XLE, and I understand that TRD made a supercharger for the fourth-generation Camrys with V6 engines.
However, TRD said that they no longer make the superchargers for these cars.
Does anyone have an idea where I could find a new, relatively fair-priced supercharger for my car?
I live in W WA, so locally would be nice.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks, everyone. Another question I have...
Equipping my car with dual exhaust: would it save on fuel and give me more hp or is it unreasonable to pay for dual exhaust? How much are we talking for a mod like this?
Thanks again.
Sam, Do what you want. Its your car! We can only warn you about things. Like the sound will come out similar to any other exhaust. Price will be extremely high. And the 1MZ -FE requires so little back pressure that single or dual it wouldn't matter. The sound will be the same for dual exhaust as a single because you have a Y pipe up front. The only way to change the sound is split the exhaust at the engine and pull 2 seperate pipes from the front. At that point the price would be so high that it isn't worth the headache.
