Sway Bar Bushings - Replacing

I have a 1994 Camry LE Sedan 4 cylinder automatic.

I have a clunking in the back when I go over bumps. Mechanic told me it was the sway bar.
I'm going to attempt to replace the bushings myself.

I bought some from Advance today. They come in a pair.

How many do I need? Is it one per side or two per side?

I only bought two total.

there are two sway bar bushings per side and one sway bar end link per side. check the end links for bad spherical joints and play. check the bushings for cracking and bulging.

I would take your endlinks off as well to check them individually. I couldn't tell my endlinks were broken until I took them off of the car and started to play with them. Make sure you tighten everything real good and make sure there is no slack.

DIY: Replace your endlinks and rear sway bar

exactly. mine looked good too on both cars and wanted to pass on replacing them, then decided to give it a try... what a surprise! all of them were totally loose and even showing some crack of boot at the stud.

here is a video of what you can do with a bad ball stud in faulty sway end link (can't do that with a new ones):
