I take it you removed the plastic in the grill guard? Looks nice.

Pretty darn nice. I like it, looks likes the TRD lip. These were from a Saab?

I did, I trimmed it out and hot-glued mesh behind it.

Yep, a bit of minor trimming towards the front and few bolts, washers and nuts later.

Looks nice imo.

Hot glue sounds like a somewhat precarious adhesive solution for the front of the car like that. I'm not sure how/where you've applied it, but some permatex rtv or similar might give you a stronger bond and more durable against the elements and vibration etc., particularly if you don't want to drill to mount a more secure bracket, and want to be able to undo it easily. Just a thought.

What did you use for the mesh?

I used just a section of Home Depot gutter mesh. It was less than $5. Thankfully I live in Florida and the hot glue has help up rather nicely. I was going to use silicone but I chose the hot glue. We don't have very cold winters here, and I've had the grill on for a bit more than a year and no issues so far.

I may try to get on my set of Sunfire GT side skirts on now to see how it flows with the lips.

Would probably look pretty sharp with the side skirts.

I'm surprised hot glue has held up that long, sounds like a good solution then.

Thanks man! I did notice that if I do put on the side skirts I have to lose the front mud flaps. And I kind of like them.
