Solara Strut Bar

I managed to get my hands on one at a junkyard from a fallen friend.

So i decided to conduct a bit of an experiment today after work. will this fit a gen 3? I heard it wont. Well

But thats only half the story. as soon as i tried to close the hood...

Interesting. so i took it back of and compared it to my Ultra Racing Bar

the OEM has the UR by quite a few inches. and yes, my brothers Honda has the wrong rear bumper on it.

I think someone else in this forums tried Solara strut brace on gen3/3.5 already and discovered that the camry hood can't get closed with it

search button helps to avoid such

Solara's body (and some of interior) is different from camry-based body even though the guts like chassis, engine, trans are same.

i did do a search but none yielded the answer i was looking for. and note my first post. i'm just putting pictures in one thread showing it wont fit where in dozens of others there's just "speculation".

yup, it's still a good warning/don't-do-this thread
good pics!

the search button unfortunately sucks on this forums, so I usually use google search including the keyword toyotanation
threads from this forums are better indexed in google than in the native search engine LOL
