Windscreen wiper alignment

Hi All,

After replacing my windscreen wiper on my 3rd gen, there's a few degrees negative direction movement from the lower end position, if I leave this thing as is, after putting it together. My mechanic said, that it shoud be adjusted further.
Is that so? Or, from an engineering point of view, if the wiper motor rotates round and round for ever, there couldn't be any more adjust on it, and it should be ok. Or the replacement I had previously bought is a bit off? Any suggestions?

Not sure I understand. Is the wiper moving a bit the wrong way when it is operating, or is the wiper arm not returning far enough to the "home" position when it is turned off? Or something else completely?
