If there is no rust then I'd rebuild them using a rebuild kit (OEM, Dorman or Beck Arnley). But I'm sure northern states like NJ has some nasty road salt corrosion problems.

change out the anchor pin boots and lube the pins with Permatex Ceramic Extreme brake grease. Keep petro solvents away from rubber parts. Use alcohol if needed.
I think cost cutting lead rebuilders to pass on anti-corrosion coatings. It used to be that rebuilt calipers come with a greenish coating. No longer. But A1 Cardone or their parts store equivalents should work.
