3rd Generation scrapping 1mzfe motor

Before I scrap a 1mzfe engine with spun bearing I am going to pull off what I can for spare parts. What are any reccomendations of parts to keep and how hard is it to take it off or out? I have motor out and ready to strip but I am not a master mechanic and have limited ability.

i would keep all spare parts such as sensors, vacuum lines, etc..

the big parts such as the valve covers, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc.. are almost never going to need replaced. Only the gaskets on them.

If you spun a bearing why not just replace the crankshaft, main and rod bearings?

I just picked up the motor for spare parts and am not sure of the extent of damage. I have a/c compressor, alternator, coil packs, injectors. I will pull any sensors I can and maybe some small hoses and wires. Could you re-use a timing belt if it was recently replaced and still looks ok?

You could, but its not a good idea. If you pull a timing belt off your own vehicle and you were going to put it back on the same motor its ok, because you can Mark off on the pulleys where everything was lined up (Physically on the motor -- and also on the belt). taking the timing belt from one motor to another though is not a good idea because you cannot get the pulleys at the same position that the belt came off.

Its better to just purchase a $20.00 or $30.00 timing belt and replace it.

Pull off the camshafts. Very easy to do. 10mm head bolts on the valve cover and 10mm head bolts on the camshaft bearing caps. Loosen or remove the timing belt first though.

You can sell the camshafts to someone who wants to do regrinds.

there are a number of things, some people need door, i wouldt mind a sproiler if there was one, tires, rims, bolts, windshield, glass, the elctronic swiches and motors, sunroof if there is one
the alternator, compressor, raditator, the engine parts if someone can disassemble or take apart, the sensors, plugs, wires, o2 sensors if not used for long; tie rods, shatfs, links, pulleys! almost all except the framwork! if you have the while and time

Yeah, i wouldn't mind having all that stuff too, but all i am scrapping is an engine which i picked up from a guy who replaced it in his car.
