Lately I have been trying to identify the source of an inconsistent leak which sometimes leaves 2-3 drops of coolant on the garage floor. From my attempts to trace the leak, I believe it might be coming from this "plate" on the cylinder head. Does anyone know what this is? Is there coolant behind it? Just to ground you, the black body at the bottom right hand corner of the picture is the oil filter. The camera is sitting on top of one of the cooling fan motors, alternator is to the left, exhaust manifold up above. This is a 1MZ-FE V6 in a 1995 Camry. Thanks in advance.
scroll down on the far left hand coloum to 11492C and you'll see the description
PLATE, WATER SEAL
if you have ever used toyotapartszone, for future reference idk why they ** out the first two digits of the p/n but the first two digits of the PNC is the first two ** in the p/n
i.e **492-50010 = 11492-50010
Replaced by: **492-20010 = 11492-20010
Hope this helps
OH: and incase you need these to save you some time the two studs u need if your thinking about replacing that the p/n is 90080-12002 and the two nuts 90179-08153
90080-12002 x 2 (Studs)
90179-08153 x 2 (Nuts)
11492-20010 x 1 (Plate)
In case you're wondering why on earth Toyota would put a hole in the block and then plug it with a cheesy plate; For those living in a very cold climate (think Minnesota or Canada, with -30F winter temperatures), that's a place to install a block heater. I figure since you're in Texas, you may not have ever heard of those?

LOL!!... Small world. I grew up near Fargo, where block heaters were considered standard equipment!
lol yea, I was actually born in Omaha on Offut AFB, my parents are retired officers in the Air Force about a year or so after I was born in 87 we moved to Grand Forks for about 2 years (they were stationed to Grand Forks AFB) :P we were there from about 89-91ish?
After speaking with the dealer about this, it looks like there is no gasket in this location - just a bead of Toyota FIPG sealant. If that's the case, I can just remove the plate, clean up, and re-seal. Does anybody out there know different? Thanks.

Here's what Toyota says to do. This is for a 2000 1MZ-FE so YMMV.
