4th Gen Fuel Pump Gasket
You guys might remember I was smelling fuel vapors a while back. Well. the car has been sitting for a while, and I now need to get this done, as I have an upcoming trip to St. Louis.
Looks like I've narrowed the issue to the fuel pump gasket as the culprit. Does replacing it involve removing the fuel pump? If it does, then I'll throw a new sock on it as PM while it's out. If not, I won't mess with it, as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
if it was anything back there other than the pump seal, I would think I'd be getting OBD codes, which I'm not. The only thing back there is the charcoal canister, and vapor vent valves and solenoids, right?
Does anyone have pics, or step-by-step instructions? Anything would be mighty helpful.
