Depending on how hot you got it with the torch, you might want to plan on getting a new crankshaft pulley. The crankshaft pulley is two parts. An outer ring held in place to the inner one that bolts to the crank. If you got the pulley hot enough to melt the rubber, you need a new one. They run $350-$375 at the dealer. You might be able to find one at a junk yard, though.

You should have used a puller like this and the crankshaft pulley would have come right off.

Are you trying to remove the harmonic balancer, or the crankshaft sprocket? And take the advice of ajkalian, never heat the crank pulley with a torch.

edit - harmonic balancer and crank pulley are one in the same.

^ ... Sounds rather extreme.
Have you tried a solvent, such as this from any GM dealer:
1052627 Heat Valve Lubricant (penetrating lube that has gotten rave reviews from those that use it)

Does your sprocket look like this? If so it should already be drilled for screws. You would use the same puller as I posted above, with my incorrect interpretation of your request for information on the crank sprocket vs. the crank pulley.

There are other sprockets that have lots of holes around the circumference but only 2 of them are tapped with threads. You might have to look closely to see the threaded ones.

But some people had said that the crank sprocket doesn't have any holes at all. Sounds like you might have one of those.

Well that sucks. What were they thinking when they designed that one. Pretty lame not to have any way to get it off it gets stuck.

The only think I can think of, short of drilling and tapping it, would be to put the old belt back on, then get a C-clamp and tighten it on the sprocket. The old belt should keep from damaging the teeth on the gear. Then get a 2 or 3 jaw puller and hook the jaws around the C-clamp and see if you can break it free. Don't tighten down too much on the C-clamp because you will just distort the sprocket and make it tighter.

Good luck, keep us posted.

GOT IT SUCK...that stupid crank sprocket almost drain my brain thinking what to do. I drilled 3/8 hole on the sprocket then used STUD POST Screw Bolt. That bolt makes room for itself to go in, force fitting itself with my impact wrench then used my puller on it. It takes 4 pull and came out with all d rust on everything. Now i just have to go in the junk yard the pull another crank sprocket for sure I wouldnt have that trouble because it should just slide out from the crank.
