Stumped by 93 camry

My hobby is buying older model Camrys and fixing them up for resale or parting them out. I bought one last night that has me stumped. It is a 93 XLE that would not start. I tried my jump box, no luck. Then I realized that the only items that seemed to have power are the headlights, hazards, dome light and key chime. I put a new battery on it, new starter, verified all fuses. Any ideas?

I had a lot of very odd and inconsistent electrical problems when I originally got my '94 LE a few years ago...sometimes it would start, sometimes wouldn't, always would drain the battery, etc. etc. After a lot of frustrating internet research, I found there are a lot of people with problems from dealer installed security systems back then made by Karr Security Systems.

I found mine installed under the dash after taking off a panel, and once I disconnected it from it's wiring harness, all major electrical problems went away.

If your tail lights don't work, the problem might be the 100A alternator fuse.
This is located under the battery tray.

Which engine do you have?
