Sup all. Got some depressing news. The camry is DEAD. On my way into class this morning after changing the oil I noticed a noise.... One I didn't like. For about a month now I have been fighting with a knock sensor issue. Well it started knocking. I killed a rod bearing. It is gone. My engine at this point is KO'ed. I did manage to get the car home. But for now. She is dead.

I was hoping this thread was not about an accident... I am relieved. I must say your camry is my favorite gen3 camry i have seen! Glad you are not parting with it! Engine swap will be awesome. Anyways, you def gotta post up some pics when you do it. Good luck and hope all goes well.

Sad to hear. You have one of the very best Gen3 cars I've seen on the forum, or anywhere else.. I know it will take some serious work and and more than a few $$$ to put her back on the road, but I hope you do!!!
My advice? Who cares right, but put her back together, turn down the boost a bit, and enjoy driving your self made car. WRX Sti's are purpose built fast cars, our Camry's can put a scare into them once in a while, but they are not made to beat-up on superfast machinery in a straight line. Like the turtle and the hair story, these cars are made to outlast them, and do it in style.

One is if I am keeping the camry or not. I am keeps the SC. The question is, keep the camry and put in my 3mz hybrid, or get an MR2 Turbo, rip out the old 3sgte and put in the 3mz hybrid.
Thoughts?
Next I am thinking like I said to build a 3MZ Hybrid. By build I mean I want to push the red line up from 6.4k rpms to 8k. Forged rods and pistons. Sodium filled Valves. Upgraded valve springs. And I was going to put in large lobed cams. For a low idle and a damn sexy sound.
Finally...... I got my new car yesterday.....
I went to the ....the....Dark Side of the Force. I always wanted to use that. I was going to get an 06 STi, but the douche bags at the dealer wanted to fuck me over. SO I walked out. And I am not going to hear anything from them cause its and STi, and they can sell it to any idiot that wants to pay 30k for an 06 STi with 75K and has a shit shit shit body. I mean there was touch up paint all over the place. Scratches all over the front left. There was dash rub and it, uh was horrible. Rode night, but that was it. So I traveled down to a Dundalk MD, horrible smelling place cause of the shit treatment plant there. And picked this up.
For 21, with 43k miles EX-L with NAV and bluetooth, this car was a STEAL!
