So my car started squealing the other day when I turned on the AC, just had the chance to check it out today and found that my pulley was not turning on the compressor. The belt is old and just runs around it at the moment. I am assuming that the compressor is locked what I am wondering as I do not know much about them is there any way to free up the clutch on it so it just spins as I do not have the $300 to $400 to replace it right now. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Anyone know what size belt I could use to just go from alternator to crank? Would that spin the Alternator too fast?
