Australia Electrical Problems - 1993 Toyota Vienta/Camry

Hi everyone, thanks for reading. My name is Tyler and i'm new here so i have no idea where to post anything.

I am a proud owner of a reliable old girl - 1993 Toyata Vienta (V6) Station wagon with almost 240,000 km on the clock. She still runs smooth!

I just have a problem - A few weeks ago i pulled out an old CD player that was in the car, it was looped through the original Tape Deck player - very dodgy. When you pressed Preset Radio Station 1 you could hear the music from the CD player Now that i have unwired and taken out the CD player (Even antenna plugged into CD player then looped back into Radio/Tape Deck) the interior light DOES not work, the light on the dash to say a door is open no longer lights up, and occasionally the headlights DONT turn off. It is driving me insane! I REALLY do need an interior light, and it would be nice to know when one of the doors are open

There is nothing wrong with the bulb of the interior light. I have also checked all the fuse boxes (under bonnet, by steering wheel, passenger kick panel) and i CANNOT work it out. What am i missing?

If anyone could be of help with this problem i will be so happy, it has got me stumped! Cant put the old CD player back in, cause i cant member the shotty way it was in there.

Thank you in advance

It looks like the main fuse associated with interior illumination is the 20A Dome Fuse .... should be in the engine compartment ... to your right as you stand in front of the car.

Thank you dc_98_cam!

There appeared to be nothing visibly wrong with the 20A Dome fuse, but i swapped it out for the spear fuse and what do ya know - everything is now working as it should!

Appreciate the help!
