2001 2.2 camry torque specifications
I picked up an 01 camry from my aunt for 300 bucks with a #1 cylinder spun rod bearing. 315,000 miles nice car other than the knock. Me being an ASE certified mechanic in brakes, suspension and steering, and heating and A/C i figured i would tackle this myself. So i pulled the engine and disassembled everything and sent it to the machine shop. It was fitted with oversize bearings for the crank and rods and bored .020 over for pistons and rings. I bought a master rebuild kit for 225 bucks off of ebay a little worried but the machine shop told me when i brought him the kit to check it out he said it was the same brand of stuff he would of gotten and charged two times the price. 1. When disassembling this engine there was no windage tray? is this normal? 2.The machine shop said that the connecting rod bolts should be replaced but when i called my local toyota dealer they said they dont and i was fine, so i torqued them to specs and then the additional 1/4 turn? 3.Absolutely nowhere can i find torque specs on the timing belt tensioner and idler pulley? Any help would be appreciated.
