4th Generation P0340 Code, but car runs great?

We got a P0340 code on the car, and the CEL comes up immediately after clearing it. Searched here and Google, but it seems that people with this code report the car hard starting, running rough/misfiring, or no engine power. Ours isn't doing any of that, runs smooth (even on a recent 12-hour marathon of driving through 4 states), and our gas mileage has even touched in to the 30's.

Brother-in-law did replace the timing belt when we purchased the car, if that helps.

Because of that, I have no idea where to start to diagnose. Replacing starter or ECM seems pricey if it's running well. Is this something a do-it-yourselfer can manage to figure out, or should we just bite the bullet and have a mechanic handle this one?

To check the camshaft position sensor, unplug the harness from the sensor and probe the sensor with a Multimeter that reads OHMS

camshaft sensor cold should be between 835 and 1400 ohms

P0340 indicates a problem with the (Camshaft Position Sensor)
