Oil in the Air Cleaner Intake Hose?

I replaced the Air Cleaner Intake Hose (dry-rotted & was cracked open) on my 3.0L V6 Camry. I noticed when I was changing it out, there was oil inside the MAF housing, in the air cleaner intake hose, on throttle body plate.

Any suggestions?

its pretty normal, unless it was a ton

Change the PCV valve and clean out the throttle.

where is the PCV valve located?

the pcv valve is located on the passenger side of the engine near the firewall , its about 5$ plus you'll need a grommet all togethor under 10$
the reason you have oil in the air filter is most likely because of a plugged pcv valve

yup, bad/clogged pcv valve will cause an excessive oil blow by to air intake (through the other PCV hose connected to air intake).

also a good idea to replace both hoses at same time, especially if they are cracked on ends or hardened/stiff (shouldn't be). dealers sell them each for a few bucks.
