Here's an in depth answer:
Yakima makes all sorts of mounts for your car to carry bikes, kayaks, and gear. Many larger vehicles have trailer hitches, and so can use Yakima hitch mounted racks. Sedans, on the other hand, usually get roof mounted racks.
Over the years, Yakima has made a number of different types of towers for mounting a rack to a car roof. Older cars that have rain gutter channels on the roof, can use the Yakima 1A Raingutter towers to hold the cross bars (like 1st and 2nd generation Camrys). Yakima later came up with SST towers, for cars without rain gutters (like a 3rd generation Camry). Yakima discontinued SST towers in 1997, and started to produce Q towers.
Both SST Towers and Q towers need specific insert-able clips to fit a specific car. In the case of a 1996 Camry, you need four Y38 type clips to mount an SST tower rack.
Since Yakima discontinued SST towers over a decade ago, clips for some vehicles have become difficult to find. So I'm here asking if anyone has a pare set of Y38 clips.
