Oil Leak maybe?

I have a 95 camry le 2.2 engine. For the past month of so when I'm waiting at a red light or stopped white/clear smoke (not 100% which one) starts coming out from under the hood. It smells like it could be oil but there is no oil in the drive way. When I got home the other day it was smoking alittle like usual I popped the hood. I noticed the source of the smoke was rising from between the engine and throttle body but below them not from on top of the actual engine block or throttle body. Does anyone know what kind of leak this could be? And is it even a oil leak causing this?

Most commonly it's the valve cover gasket leaking oil. It drips down on the exhaust and slowly burns off. Most noticeably at a stop, like you mentioned.

check the Camry FAW sticky section of this forum, it's been covered. I took some pics when removing the fuel rail on 5ws-fe at back of engine, that will give you an idea.

there was one more thread about painting the 5s-fe valve cover, it should have the pictorial DIY too.

fairly easy, takes 30 mins to replace with some cleaning.

3rd Generation

It ended up being the oil pan gasket. But I ended up with a new valve cover gasket lol. The only part I didnt like was I just did a synthetic oil change a week before. So I had to do all new oil
