Solara Pedal Adjustable?

I recently bought an '01 Solara. For the most part I love the car, but both the brake and gas pedals seem to be too far forward. If I adjust the seat correctly for the steering wheel and radio to be at a comfortable distance, my right leg gets cramped very quickly. There is plenty of room to stretch out my left leg so should be room to move the pedals back if there is an adjustment. Does anyone know if this is possible and where to find a how-to guide?

I didn't much care for the way the pedals are positioned either.

I found that the gas pedal was lower than the brake pedal and when I swung my foot off the gas over to the brake pedal, it hit it. I was used to the brake and gas pedal being the same height. After a few times missing the brake pedal and stepping on the gas, I formulated this solution.

I took a sanding block and trimmed it to fit the gas pedal. Then I used some double stick tape on the bottom of the sanding to stick some sandpaper to the block, so it wouldn't slip off the gas pedal. To further secure it, I ran a couple of tie wraps through the slots cut in the sanding blocks for the sandpaper and cinched them up.

The sanding block has been attached there for many years. Every once in a while I'll replace the tie wraps, although they tend to last a very long time.
