If you have an aftermarket alarm Then It may be the switch for the alarm.

sound like a valet/kill switch for some aftermarket alarm system. used to have one too on 5s-fe. does your car honks the horn when using a remote key fob (aftermarket device) to lock/unlock the doors?
if so then that switch must be a part of aftermarket wiring.
