First try...Gen3.5 Camry retrofit PROJECTORS!!!

So guys this is my first attempt at a set of projectors retrofitted into a set of black DEPO's from eBay. I decided to go for a quad set-up to fill the housing, which BOY OH BOY DID I DO!!! Lol

I want to give credit and thanks to all the people to put together DIY threads on how to retrofit our housings, I couldn't have done it without the hours of research here at TN.

Anyway, without further ado, these threads usually aren't much without pictures. So here's on of the driver side finished!!!!

Let me know what you all think. Obviously it's a little late to get input, but hey, figured I'd see what you all think! Haha.

Thanks guys!

@Yuko....that's exactly the impression I was going for

@ty**20....Doesn't take a lot of skill man, just TONS of patience. Work SLOW because you can always cut more, you can't cut less!! I'm hoping to get them on tonight, might have to wait till tomorrow though because first thing I'm doing when I get home is putting my TRD RSB FINALLY!!!!

@FLIP K1DD....I used Morimoto Mini H1's, got them from Terrence @ SportsAutoTech via eBay but he's got his own online store now. He's the only guy I could find the set-up I used in the low beam spot. It'll be sick once I get some night shots, or at least ones of them lit.

@kingnba6....I'm happy with the cutoff but man what a nightmare lining up four is!! Won't be doing it again for a LONG time. The driver side both are lined up perfect to each other, but the passenger side high beam is a tad lower than the low beam side. I'm over it, hahaha. There's 4 projectors lit at once with steps too so that one being off isn't a big deal to me. looks way better than what I had!!! Hahaha

Haha Yeah I agree with you the high beam isn't too important, but I'm going to have ALL FOUR on all the time! LOL Talk about light output!! I didn't want to leave the high beam spot open, just made the lamps look empty, but at the same time, the cost of the projectors, I couldn't very well spend the money and not even use them, so that's why I opted for having them all on at once!

Since they are bi-xenon projectors, all four will be on (low beam mode with cut-off). Once I hit the high beam in the car, it will activate the solenoid to remove the cut-off shield, so all four will be in high mode. As much as I want a PERFECT cut-off, honestly, I'm not planning on sitting in front of a wall that often staring at my cut-off. hahahaha As one of my professors said in college, CEFGW (Close Enough For Government Work).

So here's a few more pictures, sorry about the quality, didn't feel like taking the pics with a good camera then transferring them to the computer. FINALLY finished all the small tedious sealing and such that will *HOPEFULLY* ensure a fog/moisture free retrofit. Plus, I'm going for the "out-of-the-box" look so some "cleaning-up" needed to be done too. Planning on getting them installed tonight!!! Will try to have more pics, probably with a better camera

Couple shot though....here are the two side by side...

And this is the set-up I used for the Low Beam spot, DUAL CCFL's Bi-Xenon Morimoto H1 projectors(You'll see when I get them lit!!!)

Here is the set-up for the High Beam, slightly smaller but still a LARGE shroud! Single CCFL Bi-Xenon Morimoto H1 projectors.

From the back it WAS quite the mess, FOUR wires for the DUAL CCFL set-up then another two for the Bi-Xenon solenoid. So disregarding the actually bulb wires, there are TEN wires coming out of the back of these babies! I think I cleaned it up fairly nicely.

As you can see, I used a clear silicone that has nice flexibility and can withstand temps up to around 400F so I feel it should hold up. I was TRYING to find black but had to settle for clear. I actually like how it turned out though.

The low beam side....see TONS of wires!!! Actually it's a little tough to tell because of the heat wrap I used but yeah...And from this pic you guys can see how high I had to move the hole for the bulb/projector to fit through. The bulbs in our housings are lined up low, not centered horizontally and vertically. And as I mentioned, the shrouds are HUGE so they fit, just not with where the hole in the housing was. So I made a new one higher and filled in the old one with JB Weld stuff should hold up for me.

As a comparison, here is my set-up currently. Clear corners and turn signals with OE head lamps. These ARE NOT the originals, they are maybe 5 yrs old and are already pretty hazed. Once I get the new lamps installed I'm going to have the clear headlight protection film installed to prevent damage from rocks and such as well as hazing and yellowing of the lens so they'll stay crystal clear for years to come!! (Just got that new grill and TRD emblem installed too, HAHA)

Hopefully installed pics today with night shots tonight!!
