4th Generation recommended wheel size for 99 camry v6

I had tires installed by costco about two months ago. I started to noticed I would lose 2 to 5 PSI a week, costco later told me that my wheels were corroded air is leaking from the sides of the tires.

The current tires size is 205/65R15. What is the exact wheel size? im looking for oem replacements or something simple from tire rack that would be able to mount on my current tire size.

hope to hear ur suggestions

Here are pictures of my current wheels

if you want to keep the same tires, just go to www.car-parts.com select your make and model and look for 15'' OEM wheel set. usuall they comes with no hubcaps so reuse yours as they look good

that's probably the cheapest option, but ... you never know exact wheel condition before ordering, so either going to place you find listed or calling them up ahead would be recommended. consider only listings on a full set (cheapest option) and quality grade A only, check descriptions too for more details, sometime they put them other times they don't.

other than that, craigslist or ebay (often reconditioned wheels, looking like new) offer some good deals on oem wheels, just make sure you know exactly it comes off the same (or similar) car with the same bolt pattern.

if you are willing to swap the tires for something else (much more expensive this way), maybe get oem 16'' wheels and matching 205/60/R16 (or other options that fit the rim)?

you know you could always get a set of TRD 18'' rims hehe, but that costs a bomb.

EDIT:
which model of Bridgestone Potenza are you using? I had those (G009 I think) on wife's 5s-fe with exact same wheels as yours and they were useless especially in Winter after 2-3 years, had to replace them regardless of leftover threadlife left.

I have the Bridgestone RE960 Pole postion, in my area the winters is just heavy rain i tested these i liked it for the wet handling. I think the ones that your wife had were the G019 Grid i also tired those with Bridgestones 30 day trial i didn't like the wet handling and they were noisy.

Im planning to just buy a set of simple looking aftermarket wheels from tirerack or some other site.

I think this wheel looks nice with an oem look, uses the same tire size too.

yeah, you right. they were G019, an utter piece of rubber shit. during second Winter it was hard to start the car rolling on snow (cornering was a problem too), the third winter at first layer of fluffy snow .. I wasn't able to drive the car at all... once it melted down I replaced the tires.
wet handling was not bad the first year, ut it rapidly getting worse and worse with time.
Potenza G019 are junk.

Those were the ones that I'm interested in get. They look simple and the price is just right for my budget.

I looked up the reviews to the tires from tirerack before i get the tires. The tests that were done was that the bridgestones g019 had bad response to driver inputs in the wet and even worse in the snow. People that had the tire complained about the noise. I hope that these tires would do me well, since it doesn't snow in my area just heavy rain.

I wish they discontinued G019, it's a shame, a total disaster and besides those tires are dangerous especially with heavy snowing Winters!

I just looked up your tires on tirerack, nice set! good reviews too

wondering why they do not make the Solara OE size for 16'' rim? they do others similar, but not the OE 205/60/16. anyways, I'm happy with Yoko AVID Envigor 94V on my V6, they are awesome, though not as silent as wife's Dunlops (SP Signature Sport 91V 15'').

I will consider those Pole Positions for wife's car when Dunlops wear out

Take it back to them, they should have cleaned and sanded the bead where the tire meets the rim. That is what we do at my Toyota dealership where I work, or any place I have worked. In addition they could have also added bead sealer to seal any imperfections still leaking, but we do that as a last resort.

Yup take them back to Costco and have them clean up the wheels. Usually they will either run a stone around the inner lip or use a abrasive pad. Ive seen this many times before, and sometimes its a real pain but it works. They were just being lazy.

Throwing away a set of wheels b/c of that is ludicrous. Its a very, very common thing tire shops deal with.

Since no one answered the original question. The stock size is 15"X6" wheels with P205/65R15 92H tires.
