I've been wondering that myself I currently have the trd bar which according to the engery suspension pdf which has a mesuring tool is like 19mm and the closest they have size wise is a 18.5, 19mm and 20mm i think. only problem is the ones with the zerk fittings that i would get... i don't have a grease gun for it ;/ that and Idk if i should get a little bit bigger or the exact size
I think the OEM name is Lower Arm Sub-assembly, they connect ball joints to car's subframe with 2 bushings, one is round by the mudguard, the other is cylindrical farther toward the front of car. either of those bushings can be weak, cracked, loose, etc.
actually, my passenger side of V6 front has the round bushing cracked a bit and the other slightly loose I think. as far as I know they are not serviceable, not easily at least (hydraulic press required), so usually you replace the whole arm when those bushings are bad.

There might be some confusion in this thread. The OP started out asking about sway bar bushings. Some of you are talking about control arm bushings. Two different things.

yeah, but OP also asked about control improvement, so the truth is that poly-u sway bar bushings won't change much unless he plans on cornering at 40mph+, since the sway bar is only a body roll stabilizer. has not much to do with control in general.
also it doesn't make much sense to me when people replace only the sway bar bushings with poly-u and leave the old loose worn out sway bar end links in there. a total of zero end effect.
however new & tight control arms (or bushings if you can replace them alone) and ball joints surely will help tighten the suspension in general.

A little bit OT question to any of you that have installed Energy Susp control arm bushings:
Do they squeak/creak? A buddy of mine put urethane bushings on his Beemer, and the creaking is driving him nuts. I think one of mine on the right rear is bad; it squeaks loudly when it's cold out, and I go over a speed bump. I'm thinking of replacing the control arms Vs just bushings.

Urethane will squeak when the lube dissapates,....I used Moog Thermo Plastic sway bar bushings and they perform like urethane but will not squeak,...even if the lube drys out.
Plus Fen is right,....replace the end links with it,.....I prefered the Deeza's because they are built really nice and greasable. Plus they are designed better than the pain in the ass OEM's that have that 5mm hex in the stems. Had to cut mine off to remove them.
^as much as I hate Moog parts (metal ones that is), I love their Thermo Plastic sway bar bushings
Used them on V6 all around and it's dead silent and doing its job very well
Also happy a lot with Deeza sway bar end links all around (both cars), MUCH better than over 80k (i4) and 126k (v6) mile old OEM end links LOL!
