5sfe No spark

Hey guys I got a big problem with my 93 MR2 5sfe. i decided to post in camry section because MR2 uses the same engine and you guys have a larger community.
My brother left the engine compartment open and it rained. Day later I went for a small ride no problem, but now my car won’t start. I checked the spark no spark at all. Checked the resistant between the (+) and (-) on the coil and it reads .7 Ohms just like a new coil. I don’t know whats going on. Car has brand new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Please help me on this issue. Thank you.

.7 Seems a little high. The Primary (+)(-)Are supposed to be .36-.55Ohms. The Secondary, (+) Terminal and the high tension terminal should have 9.0-15.4 K-Ohms.

Even though a Coil tests OK Though, doesn't always mean that its okay though. I've seen them before check out ok, but not work.

you can check the GE and NE Pickups too, but if your coil is out of spec, your coil may need replaced.

The pickups for the GE and NE send the signal for the camshaft / crankshaft position to the ECM. If the computer doesnt register the magnetic signal from the inside of the distributor, it wont send the spark to the Rotor > Spark plugs.

Pull the plug with the Red/Yellow/Blue/Black wires and measure the resistance of the two outside pins. it should be 155 ~ 250 Ohms. The two left pins should have 125 ~ 200 Ohms. The left pin and 3 pins over to the right of the left pin should have 125 ~ 200 Ohms.

Dont replace anything else until you test all that stuff
