Jonate Build thread...

Well guys, I dont know why I never made one earlier. Here is my build thread. What I've done so far, and what I will do in the future!
Give me feedback, comments, concerns.

Day One off Autotrader before we bought her, dont know why I never took a stock photo.

First upgrade Stereo System (I'm an audiophile so it had to be the first thing I did):
JL Audio 10W3, Polk Audio DB Components Front, Eclipse "_" 6x9 Rear, JL Audio J2 360.4 4 Channel Amp, Alpine MRP M500 500W Mono Amp, Audiocontrol Epic160, Alpine CDA-105 Headunit, Random 1 Farad Capacitor...
Built the box myself to JL's standards, boy was that a project, harder than the entire install!
Got all this stuff from Crutchfield. Every once in a while they have sales on good items, I waited and got it all at good prices!
Love the sound!!! (though not as good as my truck, but ALOT cheaper)

Second Leds in the dash:

Third Wheels and tires (rolled and pulled fenders):

Fourth Fogs:

Fifth Magnaflow muffler:

Sixth Trd Lip Kit:

Seventh/Now Hella Supertones:

Nice work. What size are your wheels, just out of curiosity, they look great! You got ? size wheels to fit, by pulling the fenders, and rolling. Ex. I got 17x9's to fit on my Gen3, with no fender work, but limited to 215 50's. I'm sure our enthusiasts would like to know.

Yeah it was a weld, I can't weld for S**T so I sent it to a muffler shop. I bought the tip and muffler seperate.

In the pic the dash lights look white, but when it is super dark you can see a tad bit of green. For the PRND you can do Blue and it will go shine blue same for blinkers! I have my reverse red. Anyways I tried to match it all to the headunit colors, but as you see I was left with green from the epicenter and the Recir. button
Your build is commin along awesome as well!

This dude understands that OLD SCHOOL audio equipment stomps on New Comers. Less bling, more bang. Good job!

SilentRunner:Wheels are 18x9.5 +40 offset. It was a butload of work. I had to change wheelbolts, add hubcentric spacers, roll and pull the fenders. I think the gen 3s may have more space to work with. Gen 4/4.5 only have about 9 inches to play with.

TY**20: Headunit is an alpine CDA105. LEDs are from superbrightLEDs(dot)com

gr91: They were 194s and 74s. Megan Racing I'd wait, JL is about to drop the W3v3 and commin up with a W3v4 more than likely in January. If they do that the price will go down. I'd wait if I were you and look for a deal. You can get lucky sometimes and get a 10/12 for $200-275! For what you pay you get TONS outta it. It sounds clean and hits deep notes and will take forever to blow. I had an original 10W3 for 13 years in my truck (handed down to me by my dad) before it blew! I feed 500 watts to this one and it takes it like a champ! Can't be disappointed with JL. Kenwood is the way to go with HU. I bought the Alpine cus it was the last "good" one they made before they started ripping people off. They don't even make 6 channel HU's no more for alpine. I havent had good experiences with infinity, too mushie and $$$ IMO. But I've heard they've gotten better

ONE_to_HATE: It aint about how loud, Its about how loud and CLEAR! Like I said I'm an audiophile!

Apreciate the comments guys, Thank You!

I Knew my LEDs ;]
hahah. amd yeah i CAN get a BRAND NEW 10w3v3 for like 200 at this audio place, theyre not an authorized dealer so i cant get JL's Warranty, but the place also honors theyre own warranty to replace for free, in any case i trust JL enough to not get a warranty that could cost over 100. I can also get a JL spec'd box for an extra 30. but im thinking of goin for a Kicker L7 12" brand new with Box for 175 total from the same place. I know Jl Is alot better, but with kicker i feel Like i can Push it harder like the way i like. to bang hard and rattle my trunk.
Yes i fell in love with the kenwood flipout my friend has in his 2003 corolla, im so Jelly :[ He's thinking of selling it to me for 200, but its used, and i kinda want it new, so i can go to the saame place and get it for maybe 275 brand new if i can deal well enough.
I Heard Alpine is slipping, same 1999 quality but jacked up the prices by 60%. :/ I only trust the HU's and component speakers, im not a fan of their subs!.
and I Think Infinity is improving, because theyre starting to realize their silk dome tweeters NEED to sound clear and they sound 40% clearer than the pioneer 3 ways that were in the camry, and MORE bassy :]

Is your grill painted silver/chrome? I can't quite tell from the pics but it's a Gen 4.5 so the grill should be black but it looks shiny. I like the looks of it

Aetebet: I painted the grill the color of the car when I painted the fog lights.
The bulbs are 90 degrees...

Jonate, if you haven't. are you thinking about trying to add another set speaker but for the back passenger doors? i have custom made and fit a infinity 5.25" comp. set for my pass. doors. the sound is incredible after adding them on, its sitting in a concert every time i play music. i will take picture of it when i go to parent's place this weekend. weekdays i'm at my apartment for school. my camera is at parent's too.

gr91, Infinity is a good brand. i like them too and also running all infinity in my camry. i like their 5 series line up models ( which i have, when they used C.M.M.D materials). I'm not much into their 7 and 9 series line up. I am running 2 Infinity 12.1 sub. nice subs and hits hard. but i took them out becuz they're heavy my rear is shagging. maybe when i change my strut, i will put them back in. have you decided what speakers are you going to buy, or already bought?
