1999 V6 Sluggish Starts

I have a 1999 V6 Camry Automatic Sedan (in Australia).

When first driving off in the morning I move from Park to Drive, the revs change to indicate that the gear has been selected, but i have to plant to foot quite hard (up to 3000prm) just to get the car to move.

Once going over 10km/h there is no longer any problem. I am able to stop at traffic light, intersection etc without having any issues getting moving again, it is just the first takeoff.

So - first gear change of the day and car struggles to move, after that have no problems.

Any ideas as to what is wrong?

How many miles? When was the transmission fluid changed last? What does it look like now? Shoot some photos of the fluid wiped on some white tissue/paper and post them up.

Is the check engine light on?

96,000 miles (about 155,000kms)

Transmission fluid is clean and clear, was last changed about 6 months/4,000 miles ago.

Once moving the transmission shift very smoothly, it is just the initial problem

The check engine light is not on
