Odd brake indications - farting and blinking

'96 Camry with ABS, 213K miles.

For a couple of years my brakes made a fart noise and the pedal gets a tiny bit squishy whenever I come to a stop sign. After researching it on ToyotaNation I determined that the sound came from the ABS system. I proved it by removing the ABS relay, then the noise stopped. I elected to reinstall the relay and just live with the noise.

I don't know if it's related but now, there is another brake problem. The BRAKE indicator light on the dash comes on. (The fluid is full). Here is the screwy thing. When I accelerate or go up a hill the light goes off! Then when I resume normal driving the light comes back on.

What do you think? What gives? Any suggestions? This just started.

Thanks.

Add more brake fluid or you have a defective float/switch.
