A couple of questions - 99 Camry v6

1. I replaced my front struts with Monroe Quick struts and I put new Stabilizer bar links on as well. the Monroe struts top bolts on give you a torque measurement of 29lbs as compared with the oem ones of 59 lbs. I snapped a bolt off trying to go t o 59 lbs and had to get it replaced. The stabalizer bar to frame bushings are in the mail. The front of the car still bumps a little, not like it did, but a little. Could this be the stabilizer bar to frame bushings causing this?

2. How do they align the camber on the camry? The strut just bolts on in one place..

3. If the rear lower control rods are bad how likely is it that the front ones are bad?

Absolutely yes. I'd say it's the most common source of clunking in the front.

Camber isn't adjustable. For people that lower their cars, there are special bolts that have a camming feature to get a few degrees of adjustment. But if your suspension is stock, and the camber is out of spec, something's bent.

Are you talking about the rear lateral suspension arms?... about 2 feet long? Their counterpart on the front is the lower control arm, which has two rubber bushings. The rear one commonly develops cracks.

OK.. I will have to get those stabalizer bar to frame parts in as soon as they come in and see if that helps..

I only asked about the camber because I repalced the whole strut and was wondering why I would need to get an alignment if there was nothing adjustable that I moved..

yes I am talking about therear lateral suspension arms. I didn't know what to call them. I have all 4 of them on order, but i am not sure I want to mess with the front ones right now. But I also don't want to get an alignment and then replace the front ones in a couple of weeks.

Would a 99 LE v6 have remote locks? I saw that someone found out they had a remote lock system in their 97 LE and didn't know it.. I just wondered if I could buy a key fob and it would work.. How could I find out if it had this from the factory or not?

What would cause a camry to follow marks or lines in the road? Its like the steering has to follow imperfections in the road. I replaced the shocks and struts with monroe quick struts (haven't aligned them yet) and the sway bar links, but not the stabilizer bar to frame bushings. The balljoints seem to be ok to me..

wide tyres causes the car to follow the road. nothing wrong w following the road if the alignment is to spec.

yes remote door locks is a factory option ? is it an option or do all of them have it ? does anyone know ?
you can find out if you have a remote lock system by seeing if you have the receiver. its under the dash somewhere in the middle. sorry i dont know what it looks like and i cant take a pic of it cause im not sure if i have it (i bought my car used and it didnt come w remote). hope someone else can locate it and take a pic for u.
