Help! I need the part number for the fuel pump gasket (the one that has 8-10 bolt holes). I just can't find it, my local dealer ordered the wrong part, and is useless. They won't help at all.
Gary @ Newman Toyota has been most helpful, but even he's not 100% sure...
If anyone can find the correct part number (Federal emissions), I would be eternally grateful!
if you go to your dealership parts department, you can ask them how much it is and for the part number. they'll have a nice diagram for you to see and you can point to them which one it is. (im assuming you know what it looks like and where exactly it goes)

For those that asked, I have a 97 5s motor. The gasket shown for my fuel pump is oblong, but mine is circular....so I'm still grasping at straws. I have an electronic copy of the FSM, and it matches exactly what the dealer has, and it doesn't show the gasket I need. Mine is seeping fuel. I'm still lost.
If you can't find it, you can always make your own gasket. Most auto parts stores sell sheets of the material, and you just cut out the shape you need.
Even Denso Aftermarket shows the same oblong gasket. And to find a round (7-hole one) you have to go back to Gen 2, but it doesn't have 8-10 holes like you said.
I wonder if somebody swapped out the tank? Because if you look at aftermarket tanks they have round tank caps with 8 holes and a new lock ring is included. If this is the case maybe check with Spectra or Dorman? They're probably the only ones who can supply you the aftermarket gasket unless you make your own.
Agree with above, the tank must be an aftermarket unit. It is rare that Toyota makes an error when it comes to supplying parts, at least in my experience. Give them your VIN and you'll get the correct part for your car.

I'll post some pics of the top of the tank so you guys get an idea, maybe it is oblong and I'm just not seeing it, I'll be glad to get your input. Give me a day or 2 to do it.
