overfilling the car oil

I accidently put too much oil in my camry V6 (All 5 quarts with new oil filter) would it damage the engine ? I'm not sure how much oil is needed for the V6.

If it is only a bit over the "full" mark, you are fine. If it's way over full you run the risk of engine damage if the oil level is high enough for the connecting rods to impact it in the pan.

You're fine, 5.0 qts is what's specified in the manual.

thank you very much. I don't have the manual and it's my mom's car. Search on google and keeps finding conflicting numbers.
