Gen 3 Lateral links

i bought 4 new rear lateral links for my 93 Toyota Camry but i ended up only replacing the two adjustable links because i was unable to pull out the long carrier bolt that holds the two forward none adjustable links, i didn't pound on it from fear of breaking and getting into more trouble so i don't know how hard it will be to get it out . i was wondering if anyone has been able to get this long carrier bolt to come out to replace the forward lateral links.

im about to order these parts for my car over the weekend. i can let you know because the only link that really needs replaced is the driver's side front which requires removing the bolt.

to my understanding, you have three choices:
1. drop the rear sub frame.
2. cut the bolt.
3. drop the fuel tank.

since my car is more rust than metal underneath, i dont think i can drop the rear subframe without shearing bolts. i dont want to cut the bolts because i dont know how difficult it would be to find replacements. so im planning on dropping the tank. if the bolts holding the straps do shear, i dont recall it being to difficult to access in order to drill and tap new holes.

heat the carrier up red hot on the area where the bolt runs through. this should expand the metal enough to allow the bolt to work free.

I found it easier to drop the sub-frame than the gas tank because i didn't want to risk breaking one of the lines and i had a full tank of gas lol. if you decide to drop the sub-frame make sure to heat up the stud nuts and lightly wiggle them back and forth, and apply PB blaster or ecuivalant before trying to fully loosen them or they WILL break the stud off ha-ha i found that out the hard way even only by applying a small amount of torque just to see how tight they were, POP! ha-ha. lucky the dealership in my town had a set of new studs in stock so i replaced all four studs and cushion mounts. if you do decide to go for the sub-frame and break a stud they are $3.61 Part# 9010910143 from the dealer, i got mine from PAGE TOYOTA they are a dealer out of Southfield Michigan and you can order the part from their web site which is http://www.toyota-parts-dealer.com/
