Door ajar light flickers on and off - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

The light comes on and off randomly. All doors/ trunk lid are closed. Are there any common causes for this. TIA

Is the dome light going on and off too? It could be the switch in the door jam that is also used to turn on and off the inside dome light has a corroded electrical connection. I believe on my Camry the switch is covered by a plastic black boot, you could try removing it and the switch and cleaning up any wires. My guess would be one of the front doors would need some attention.

I did not notice if the dome light was going on and off. The buzzer is not going on and off. The car is my daughters so i don't drive it much. I will see if I can pull the switch apart and clean the connectors. I agree it is most likely the front doors probably the driver side.
