I have a 94 camry xle with the 1mz-fe V6. At 125,000 miles I had the valve oil seals replaced to fix a problem with bad smoke at start up. Within a week I had to take it back because the same thing was happening again. After that, for the next several years, it would occassionally smoke bad at start up again. Now, at 183,000 it is happening more frequently but not every time. I have long suspected that oil is getting into the chambers from another source, or the injectors were leaking down in a cylinder or two after shut down deluting the oil on the cylinder walls.
Has anyone else seen this with their Camry and what did you do about it?
Does the spark plug tube seals possible cause this? I need a solution short of engine tear down. Let me know your thoughts guys.
