97 Camry 2.2L Erratic high idle
Having random high-idle surges to 2000 rpm. Always high idle when cold as expected, but also surges when warm. Sometimes surges to 2000 and holds for a few seconds, back down to normal and immediately bumps back up.
IAC performs normally according to the Haynes manual. Have run B12 Chemtool through the throttle body and IAC ports as a good practice. Measured voltage at the IAC connector and observed that the ECM is telling the IAC valve to open erraticly. What conditions can cause the ECM to tell the IAC to react this way?
