3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have recently discovered a 1992 Toyota Camry V6 XLE. I have owned a 1994 Toyota Camry V6 XLE in the past and miss its many joys the car has brought me. Oddly, this car looks almost exactly like mine. It has the tinted windows, replaced door handle, and the oddly colored paint job. It got me thinking if it is mine and maybe the paperwork got messed up when mine got totalled. What's your guys opinions?
i think the XLE that you're considering looks like a good buy. the price seems fair as well. go and test drive it, take some more pictures. get under the car and inspect what you can. let us know how it works out.
Looked at the car today. Wasn't the same one but extremely close. The car is clean and I made an offer of $2000 and he took it. The car is extremely clean and runs smooth. If the deal doesn't fall through, I will be getting it tomorrow.
We would have an identical car ;] KIND OF!
I dont have v6 and mine is le .. and mine is no tint, and no leather, and....

Well I did a carfax on the camry and found out that the odometer was messed with. I decided not to trust the guy so now I am searching for another Camry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
my Camry has an odometer discrepancy on the title. the mileage matches the title perfectly. the problem was that the owner before me got it from someone who wrote the wrong mileage in. i wouldn't be swayed too much by odometer issues. if the car is in nice shape and drives well and is mechanically sound, who cares how many miles are on it? heck, i bought my Porsche with 119k on the clock. i don't care about mileage if the mechanical bits are in order and the service has been performed regularly.
