Did the cheap wheel bearing wear out within a year?

I replaced both rear wheel brearing hub assemlies last december using this cheap offer from A1:

http://www.1aauto.com/1A/wheel-beari...64/510640/1994

it was $113 for the pair! but they seem to have gotten it down to even cheaper $95 since then for the same part#

I started having a nasty noise from the one rear wheel lately and as i jacked up the car the wheel could be wiggled in a scary way.

I had one of the old original parts laying around still and put it on. It seems to have fixed it...

The cheap part can be slightly wiggled when holding it in your hand and it translates into a larger wiggle when the wheel is attached.

What should I do??? other than get a new pair on the two year warranty and then that wears out too... I feel like there is a small play in the other wheel allready and that's gonna have to be replaced soon too.

I only had one of the originals left and I put it on allready like i mentioned, I think it is in ok condition but I felt kind of bad about that some debris got into the greese...

I'd call up and complain about that.

I've got two cheapo eBay rear wheel bearings on my cars; 1 on my Camry and 1 on my Avalon. They've been on there quite a while without any probs. So I'd say you just got unlucky. Seeing's how they're so easy to replace, I'd say try another set either under warranty or from another eBay vendor. If they were front wheel bearings, no way. They're a PITA to replace.

Get warranty replacements or go with Timken (or OEM).
