Simplest answer, really, is that it likely will. These parts don't change much within car generations. Stuff your resistor, in your pocket and pull the one off the 07. Compare the wiring harnesses/plugs, and maybe even part numbers, if they match, plug in the '97 and see if it fixes the problem. As long as the plugs match, your not going to blow anything up. Its a good way to learn about fixing your own car, and I doubt the '97 part is all that expensive, or not returnable for at least credit. A new part will probably be 50-$100, from a dealer or aftermarket, they always are.
