How to remove switch blanks left of Steering Wheel
OK so i feel kinda dumb asking this, but I just want to get a quick answer. How do I remove one of the switch blanks to the left of the steering wheel?........ Thanks all!

On the Gen 4, just remove the coin holder below the switch. Then you can reach in and pop the switch covers off from the back. Be careful not to cut yourself.
I have switches in there but that is the location right?

On my 2000, that entire black panel came out pretty easily the same way.

lol thanks guys! I figured it was something simple like that. Popped the coin holder out and walked through everything else from there. If you don't mind me asking, what do you have that switch wired to? I'm putting fogs in so just curious if you are wired at all through the firewall?

One switch runs my DRL fog lamps and the other disable/enable the back-up alarm. I used a Scion fog lamp switch (which was a perfect fit into the slot) to disable my fogs when needed. My back-up alarm comes on when the vehicle is in reverse but I use a ECT button from an early Tacoma to disable it. To the left of where the steering column goes through the firewall, you can run a few wire thought with the wiring harness.
I just ran wires in my 09 Highlander. I followed the hood release with the wires I ran. I had to loosen the inner fender to run the wires. Maybe your car will be easier.
