Power door lock switch and Mirror adjust switch not working, help..

Greetings,

(1996 Camry 4cyl LE with 62,000 miles!!!!)
My Mother is not allowed to drive anymore so I picked up her car to get it cleaned up and possibly sell it to my son or another party.

Besides the smell that I'm dealing with because she left something molding in the trunk for a few years I have two minor issues I would like to correct.

The drivers side power door lock switch does not work, the Passenger side switch works and unlocks and locks all doors. I checked the connector on the wire bundle that comes from the door and all seems good as well as the fuses.

Also the side view mirror adjuster switch does not work for the drivers side mirror but works for the passenger side mirror. (which is funny because it looks like my Dad maybe glued the passenger side mirror back on after either he or my mother knocked it off pulling out of the garage)

I suppose I'll need to pull off the door panel and what not.....

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bruce

Check the bundle of wires in the driver's door; the bunch in the rubber tube going from the door to the door jamb. They often break due to the constant flexing they have to do every time the door is opened/closed. The hard part is that the insulation is often intact, and wire inside is broken. Makes it difficult to find the break.

Thanks for the tip, Looks like I will have to pull the door panel off to check continuity or loose wire connections....
