Drive Belts Tension Adjustment

Need some help here to properly adjust tension on p/s and alt. belts.
Found this info in FSM, but still

Your belts should have about 1/2" of movement when you push your index finger against the belt. Any tighter is too tight, and more loose the belt is going to squeel

Here is the Tool the FSM is indicating to use to gauge the tension:



Although this is the most accurate way to tension the belts, if you gauge it with your index finger it will be OK.

You can do it either way, i do mine while the car is hot and cold, depends if i went to the parts store before i worked on the car that day.
