ok guys, there's no such thing as a "short shifter" for an auto trans.....cuz you don't shift manually, there's nothing to shorten.... and if he was drivin an auto, it woulda f*ckin helped if it said so somewhere if this thread.... standard doesn't really define auto or manual...... and i know u can change the lever, but that does not make it a short shifter....

dude, shortening the lever DOES NOT MAKE IT A SHORT SHIFTER, it makes it a SHORTER lever.... the term short shifter refers to the shortening the throw length of a manual shift lever....nothing else. and fine, whatever the tranny is an auto....either way it's NOT A SHORT SHIFTER plain and simple.

LOL, that is SO funny.....ufoz8mycow......LOL next time u try and flame somebody, why don't u make sure u know what ur talking about... anyhow, since it IS a MANUAL tranny, the TRD short shifter for a gen4 will fit if you use the mounting housing also...if you can't get ahold of one of those i can help you find something that will work. also i've read that the short shifters from the new celica's will fit, or so i've read...
