It would help if you told us if each car was a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder.

The '98 V6 is a completely different engine than is in the '93. It could be done, but it would be very difficult. You need the engine out of a '92 or '93 Camry, or a Lexus ES300 of the same years.

Ooooo... Just noticed you're in Puerto Rico. In some countries, the V6 used in the US-market '92 & '93 Camrys was used much longer; Australia for example. I'm not sure about Puerto Rico, but I'd guess it's the same as the US. To be sure, you wanna check the marking on the timing belt cover - It should be marked "3VZ-FE" in big letters, molded right into the plastic. Can't miss it.

If you do need a 3VZFE they can be found relatively cheap with a whole Automatic trans on engine importer websites. Only thing is JDM engines will not have EGR or an oil level sensor in the oil pan. So you will either have to change the intake manifolds, rear exhaust manifold, and oil pans from your engine. OR leave it as is and deal with the check engine and oil light. Personally if i did it I would just swap oil pans.
