Ive been having my 95er 5SFE (MTM)for 4 months now, and after replacing my thermostat I'm still having some issues with the heater. My problem is the two grills right above the heating control. They blow much colder air if the heating direction is set to the upper half(it's a round shaped control). These two in the middle blow colder if the direction is set "TO FEET" or "WINDSCREEN" or the combination. If direction is set "TO CHEST" or "CHEST/FEET" it blows warm. Circulation makes it warmer overall, but the difference of temperature coming from the middle remains. The sideway grill next to the front doors blow warm, so they are ok. Well I don't know if it's due to the design. When it's set to circulating the blower sound louder and it do restrict outside air coming in. AND I cannot shut down 100% these two grills in the middle, only the right one. The left one always blows some air, even if it's in locked position. The car has a PARROT CK3100 bluetooth kit, maybe when it's built in, some things had been screwed up??? Any ideas?
Probably a blend door problem but with the age also less efficient heater core. Can you get hot from any position? The only way the Bluetooth could be a problem is if it restricting blend door movement.

Yes, it does heat properly from every position except from the middle above the controls. And if it's set to "middle/chest" on the downward of the round scale or "middle and foot" it does heat from the middle as well. I exchanged coolant in the system, but couldn't drain it through the hole behind the block at the right, so maybe some air was left in the system, however it shouldn't heat well at all, of this would be the case, in the least not so good how it does except the middle.
If everything is ok, should it blow the same hot from everywhere regardless the position and circulating mode? That's the question.

Well it's the same heat, just distributed differently. You'll get less air flow from air going to two positions than you will from one position, maybe your confusing less flow with less heat. So when your heater control (hot/cold) is turned to full red zone you get normal hot air, other than maybe center vent?
I don't think there's an outside air adjust on the 95 is there?

Yes symptom is, that I get hot air from everywhere except the center if I set it to the upper three position(foot/windscreen/combination). If I set it to the lower two(foot_and_center / center_only), it blows hot from the center as well. As from the sides, it's always hot air. My control is just like this. I drained my coolant few weeks ago, but I think it can't be the problem, because the heater radiator is at way too low to keep air in it, isn't it? AND again, if I set it to the lower two positions it's hot from the center, and problem is gone.
Don't know if this helps but in all of those I've owned (4) your settings are from CCW: Center (dash) only;- center (dash) and foot;- foot only;- windshield and foot only (NOT center (dash) );- and windshield only. Why not windshield, center (dash) AND foot? I don't know but that's just the way it is.
