4th Generation obscure speed sensor tech question

I need to install my rally odometer in my 1999 V6 Camry.

There are a couple different ways to get a reading

One is a hall effect sensor on a wheel stud. I really don't feel like going through all that trouble of a bracket and having to purchase the sensor itself.

Two is to tap into the vehicles existing speedo cable and run a piggyback line from that to the odometer unit. As I understand it, most modern cars do not have a mechanical linkage to the speedometer any longer, so I believe this option is out.

Third is tapping into the speed sensor on the computer. This was relatively easy on my Subaru. I found the pin out and which wire it was, and I just tapped that wire for the signal. This is the option I want to use.

So my question is this; Where is the computer in the car that handles such chores and does anyone know the connector and wire(s) I would need to tap to hook this up?

Thank you very much.

If you PM me your email, I'll send you the wiring portion of the FSM. You should be able to find it from there.

PM Sent and thanks. Also, do you know if it's a two or three wire harness?
