3rd Generation Timing problem

1997 Camry 2.2 Timing problem after setting # 1 piston up=== and on TDC=== car would not start .When turning over it has a lope to it and a deep sound. Sounds like I missed it, I thought that I had read somewhere that I could be one tooth off.is there any advice on this matter.

Check your mark if you just did that timing belt then its just the mark...you can google image the timing of 5sfe if thats your engine type....or maybe your firing order from the distributor if you took it out.
