v6 swap and 5spd swap questions NEED HELP!!

before everyone says "use the search bar"
i would like to mention that i had raped it and didnt find anything
i even had an admin help me and we both came up with the same results of nothing that im looking for.
so here i am asking everyone on TN for help.

to start off i got a 1995 camry with unknown package (pre-owned and really beatened up)

its a 4 cylinder and i believe the motor has seen better days

ive ran into some motors throughout the web and seen that theyve got some v6 motors out of the newer gens and some 5spd transmissions from other toyota vehicles that look like they could possibly fit but im clueless

im lookin for full write ups on both a v6 swap and 5spd conversion for a 3rd gen. pretty much what im tryin to get at is im lookin for a post its gotta be out there somewhere of someone doing a full write up DIY of a v6 swap on 3rd gen and/or doing a 5spd swap on a 3rd gen with already a 5spd in it.

and for those who have done this i was wondering if you can list what is needed to do both

this is somewhat important to me cause its a personal goal i have and something ive planned for the car for quite some time before gettings it.

all info helps
links to these posts would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

oh and the admin i was talking to on helping me was traildust and he suggested id ask the public about it.

you'll need:

- 1mz-fe motor + wiring harness + dash harness + ecu
- e153 transmission + 5-speed axles + clutch/flywheel ,etc.
- 5-speed swap parts - clutch pedal, brake pedal, 5-speed mounts, shifter + base, shifter cables

your best bet is to take a look at a totalled gen4 5-speed camry or solara and take everything out of it as a parts car. That way, you'll have a 5-speed ecu along with your motor, plus all the mounts, wiring harnesses, clutch pedals, shifters, etc. etc. etc. that you'll need. If you're piecing everything together, it's a very inefficient way to go, and very few people can give you a complete list of what you need.

I was one of the first to do the 5-speed swap years ago, and by this point, I'm pretty sure that I forget some parts that are needed when people ask me for info.

and theoretically, that's it. unfortunately, there is no complete write-up for a v6+5-speed swap.

if you're looking for parts and a bit more info, you can always pm trd4life here on TN and he can always help you out with more specifics as well- especially when it comes to the parts needed.

oh yes this is great news for me.
now if i become lazy and got the parts could a toyota dealership put everything in for me? i ask this cause i live pretty much walking distance from a dealer and thought of the idea of bringing the stuff to them but was kinda having second thoughts on it.

and when i get all the stuff is it pretty much plug n play? how much fab work will i be doing?

Uhhh...it'd cost quite a pretty penny to have a dealership do this for you. I doubt they even would. You're talking days worth of labor.

theoretically, everything is "plug-and-play", yes....if you can either drop your subframe yourself, pull the motor/tranny out the top yourself, and also take your entire dash apart, etc. etc.

and I would be very doubtful that a toyota dealership would be willing to do it for you, as there is a lot of liability in doing custom work such as this. And if they did agree to it, it would cost you thousands in labor most likely. an independent mechanic probably would do it though, if you could talk them into it.
