2000 Camry running wierd

..working on my sisters Camry w/V6...changed the plugs and VC gaskets..put everything back the right way and now the check engine light is on had it scanned and came back with nothing wrong...it has a high idle @ 1500-1800..if you turn it off it does not want to fire back up inless you let it sit for a few minutes but when it fires back up it has a high idle and it will not go down...I'm a Certified VW technician not a Toyota tech...did I miss something because it ran fine before hand...thanks for any help because this site has helped me alot so far and have no where else to turn

The MIL is on and there's no code stored? Who did your scanning? I've never heard of that situation.

Assuming you disconnected power while working on it, the ECU will need to relearn how to properly control the IAC. Mine took a while (several trips) after I did similar work on my 03 Avalon.
