dashboard clock dim + New dome light bulb doesn't work + power locks stopped working
Anyone know what is going on here?
I tried to replace what I assumed was a blown out dome light. That didn't fix it. Then I noticed the dashboard clock was very dim. Next thing I knew, when I got out of the car, the power door locks had stopped working (if the key was out of the ignition). Since you can't power lock the doors shut while the key is in, I had to remove the key, and manually lock the doors.

Can you turn the lights on without the ignition?
Check the Dome 20A fuse under the hood. It's a micro fuse. It controls more than the dome light.

sorry, headlights etc. I blew the Dome fuse on my Gen 3 94 Camry and that fuse controls the radio, interior and exterior lights when the ignition isn't on.
I'd check the fuses under the hood and in the dash.

I'll take a look at both fuse boxes, and see if any individual ones are broken. I hope I can see easily, otherwise, it will be a pain to remove and inspect every single fuse.
What car do you have? Do you have an external amplifier under the passenger seat?

Update: The owner's manual showed that the Dome fuse and controls the clock and the opweer doors. I changed the busted 7.5A fuse with a 10A spare. Can I get away with this, or do I need to buy a 7.5A one to be safe?
go with 7.5A with the original fuse that came w/ your car. if you don't have 7.5A, you can fuse less than 7.5A. reason... this will protect your car... higher fuse, risk damage before the fuse blown.
Agreed about putting in the proper fuse. Never, ever put a higher rated fuse in, that is how you burn out things, or even start an electrical fire. I asked about the external amp because of what happened to me.

I bought a 5 pack of 7.5A's and popped it in. Felt nice to get under the hood. Even for a little bit. To be honest, not sure I was up for more. I am glad to have my dome light back!
